Permanent – We use Artecoll which will last at least 15 years. Since it has not been in existence long enough to know it is not right to say it is permanent. Very long lasting is more accurate. This procedure involves injecting collagen on microspheres to fill out spaces where collagen loss has occurred in the formation of wrinkles. Satisfaction is high and results are immediate. However, the collagen disappears and is replaced by the patients own collagen so that final results actually take 2-3 months. The procedure must be done with care and usually more than one application will be required. Artecoll is only slightly more expensive than temporary collagen that lasts months so it is actually very cost effective.
